Previously, when patients come to see us, the dentist would need to take a mould of the mouth in order to properly assess your teeth and suitability for the treatment. Our practice has invested in the latest digital scanning technology - the Invisalign iTero - which provides:
In short, Invisalign aligners come in a set; and each of the aligners will need to be worn at a different time in the treatment timeline and will need to be used in chronological order.
And as this aligner is custom printed and uses computer technology, our team will be able to map the course of movement that your teeth need to take to arrive at the end result. And so, with the malleable but tough plastic, your teeth will be gently pushed into their desired alignment.
This depends on how severe your misalignment is; for most cases, the corrections to make your smile straighter will occur in around 3-6 months. But this can be longer.
Every day, in order to achieve these results, you will need to wear the aligner for a minimum of 22 hours in each 24.

When your aligner has food debris on it or has been stained, simply rinse it under a cool tap and remove the debris with a soft-bristled brush. Do not use hot water as this can cause warping.
